Building Complex of Poznanski (Ogrodowa street)
Industry empire of Poznański began in the second part of XIX century. The begin of empire gave the manufacture, created by father of Izrael, Kalman Poznanski in 1862. He developed his manufacture along Lodka river (which in present time is hidden in a underground tunnel), between actual Ogrodowa and Drewnowska street , that rich till the border of cementery. opposed to other lodz’s manufacturers, which in a first place were lifting the most profitable spinning factories, the first building of complex Izrael Poznanski was ground floored spinning factory build in 1872. Directly in neighborhood of the fabric complex was build palace, which from this moment became the biggest fabric residence in Poland. Between 1874 and 1875 …….
In 1878 was build the most impressive building from the complex – with five floors cotton spinning factory, with length of 170 m, build from red brick. On the opposite site of Ogrodowa street, Poznanski build houses for his employees.
